We are focusing on three main risk aspects and manage them separately
Avoiding risks by never using eggs from external sources without a lab test to proof they are free from diseases and other health issues prior placing them in the incubation room.
Avoiding risks by never using cricket shelters from external sources without a lab test to proof they are free from 2-Phenylphenol prior placing them in the EntoBox.
2-Phenylphenol is a pesticide heavily used in Thailand and can contaminate the cricket powder with more than 36 times above the allowed threshold in EU, by using contaminated cricket shelters.
Preventing risks by training programs for our employees with purpose to not bring in a disease or other health issues to the farm and process factory from the outside environment. This is also prevented by locks consisting of double doors at all entrances, and an over pressure of the air inside the process factory.
Preventing risks by constructing several 1,400 sqm EntoFarms separated from each other rather than one large farm will reduce the loss in case a disease or other health issues spreads out in the farm.
Sharing risks by constructing several EntoFarms using our “farm in a box-model” rather than constructing one super large farm.
